A Journey begins

Today I to begin a journey that is in fact a journey, and not another ‘look, squirrel moment’, hopefully. It’s a journey towards the man I wish to be. This man is many things, but for this present moment, one of the highest priorities I have for this future version of myself, is that I become as physically strong as possible.

I’m not in bad shape and I am tennis fit I guess. Yet, years of bad habits which lead to my obesity have left my body, well, pretty ugly in my estimation, and definitely nowhere near as strong as it could be. And so, I took a picture of my self shirtless today, and I will continue to do everyday for the next three years at least. By this time, if I have persevered on the journey with discipline, the results should be remarkable. Lets go!

I am however a little skeptical, as I tend to get distracted. I was watching this video on youtube last night, a video titled ‘how to get so rich….’. Yip, the clickbaity title got me for sure, but I do know the guy’s content and I’ve enjoyed it before as he is pretty down to earth and a matter of fact kind of person, so I gave it a go (his name is Alex Hormozi).

The point is that as I write this, I’m reminded of something Alex mentioned in the video from last night. He said “most people get stuck in this loop of uninformed optimism for new ventures and never really achieve success”. The idea he was explaining is that many people basically quit when the optimism wears of, and then find something new and shiny to pursue, and then repeat the cycle over and over again. Yes I am one of these people. Alex goes on to say that if these people just picked one thing and went all in, they would achieve success, as long as it is a viable vehicle for long term wealth acquisition

Well, now the question becomes, what is the ‘one thing’ for me. Truthfully, I don’t really know. I’m torn between my two greatest loves, tennis and music, and something that has much more financial opportunity. For now, until i acquire skills related to AI, and enough skill to create wealth, I will have to focus on becoming a content creator, incubated through the shell of rock bottom blog. Tennis and health are massively important to me and so blog is where I will track my progress towards my goals, while learning the integral tech skills which will be relevant no matter where I end up precisely. Let’s GO!
